StrykerX – The Next Generation Military Fighting Vehicle

The StrykerX is not a very well-known military vehicle in the US military. StrykerX is currently in development along with AbramsX, but the first models already were manufactured and now are being tested.

StrykerX is the most modern high-tech Stryker armored vehicle, which is a family of eight-wheeled armored fighting vehicles used by the US Army.

SrtykerX is the latest-generation infantry fighting vehicle equipped with fighting lasers and attack drone launchers. It has a hybrid-electric engine allowing it to move practically silently without a sound profile.

The vehicle has more room for infantry soldiers (sounds almost like an advertisement for a sedan car). Just like its big cousin AbramsX, StrykerX has a solid amount of functions controlled by artificial intelligence, allowing the crew focuses on more important tactical matters.

The vehicle is also open-system, meaning, different types of weapons can be mounted on it. Almost like a constructor platform.

StrykerX can engage the enemy with air burst rounds from a 30mm cannon with long-range precision targeting.

The vehicle is driven purely by electrical power, the diesel engine is only there to generate electricity for the motor, which then drives all the axles. Commander and driver now sit side by side, like in a cockpit or in a sedan car, and share all the monitors and controls. This makes controlling vehicles more efficient.

It also has a much-rumored see-through armor effect allowing infantry sitting in the back to see their surroundings and be aware of the situation when they are about to disengage from the vehicle. That adds to 360-degree situational awareness and see-through armor capability.

GDLS added two back-end launchers to fire Switchblade 300 mini-drone explosives. StrykerX has a new system that acts as its own “hunter-killer” system when controlling attack drones.

The vehicle carries a 5kw laser which already successfully shot drones in testing. There are plans to arm Stryker vehicles via the M-SHORAD program with 50kw laser weapons. This indicates that lasers are coming up as mainstream weapons in the modern military.

The vehicle can be equipped with new or improved anti-air missiles currently used in the Short-Range-Air-Defense program, or SHORAD. The system can fire stingers of hellfire missiles.

Generally, stryker possesses an unprecedented amount of new high-tech in all systems, from functioning to navigation and control. Most importantly, these are not prototypes. These are already functioning vehicles in the testing stage.

Both AbramsX and StrykerX have future-like artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled target recognition, multi-domain information processing, software-enabled weapon upgrades, and ground-breaking robotics.

Oh, I forgot to mention counter-electronics capabilities to the Stryker family of vehicles via Epirus’ Leonidas high-power microwave array. I mean, the future is really here. I remember reading science fiction about things like this when I was a child.
